Who are we?

We are the Reidt family and have embarked on an adventure in the late spring of 2013. Transplanting from Bothell, WA, to Coeur d Alene, ID, in pursuit of God and all He has for us. I, Amy, am the writer in the family; the English teacher by profession, but mom at heart. Jared, automotive repair business owner by trade, is sharing his hands-on skills that have been fine tuned throughout years of building and remodeling houses as a hobby, with his four sons and daughter. Brent, now 23, stayed in Bothell for 1 1/2 years before deciding to join the family in Idaho for a year to help with the build. He is currently back in Bothell working full time at Bothell Way Garage, Jared’s shop. Wilson, 21, is attending North Idaho College and working with Jared building part time.  He regularly plays ball at the Kroc and waits eagerly for the snow to fall so he can give his snowboard some use.   Asher, 18, the technological side of him will come in handy as he helps incorporate theses advances in our new build. After being home schooled along with his younger siblings for one crazy year, he went on to attend and graduate from Genesis Prep. He is enrolled at Grand Canyon University, in Arizona, to pursue an engineering degree. Max, 16, comes with a heart who was sadden by the separation between some close Washington friends but has developed some pretty sweet ones here in Idaho.  God is faithful! He enjoys playing basketball for Genesis prep and is dual enrolled at GCU and Genesis Prep this year.  Liberty, 14,  dreams of a beautiful new room to decorate, you ladies can relate. Oh, and the swimming pool would be first on her list to finish. She found a neighbor to teach her piano and attends Genesis Prep for school. We desire to build, grow closer to each other and Christ, and begin to put down roots in a new community and serve God however we can here.  Let the adventure continue!

Kelly shared your blog with me this morning on the first day of school. It was surreal as we went to the new homeroom classroom (Mr. Frunz’s old room) and not see your smiling face across the hall. We will be praying for the 2700 loft apt to be completed ahead of schedule. What an adventure and what an incredible step of faith. And what incredible children. I will be anxious to hear about the journey God has called you to. Look forward to hearing news about the journey.
    God bless
